Ourbe holyt-shirt reminds us of the constant pursuit towards holiness each believer should have. Two aspects of holiness are mentioned in the bible. The first one is positional holiness. Before the foundation of the world God chose us to be holy and without blame before Him (Ephesians 1:4). The definition of holy is set apart. The day we are saved we are set apart from this world. We can never become more set apart. The second aspect is obtaining appropriate behavior to correspond to the position we hold. Once we step into a covenant with Christ, we cannot be flirting with things of this world. Holiness is the doorway to enter into the presence of God. By pursuing holiness we grow in our intimacy with the Lord.
